About Let Us See You
Let Us See You is a year-long journey that’s all about making art more inclusive, accessible, and empowering for Leeds-based artists. This project has provided curatorial support, development, and exhibition opportunities, helping emerging and established artists from across the city showcase their work in five incredible venues.
The series aims to break down the traditional barriers to art curation and exhibition, putting the needs of the artists front and centre. From the very first step to the final exhibition, Let Us See You has been a celebration of community, creativity, and collaboration.

About Farwa Rizvi
Farwa Rizvi (b. 1995) is an artist who recently completed her MA in Fine Art with a distinction from the University of Leeds.
Her work exhibits contemporary expressions of faith and identity emerging from and associated with the historical event of Karbala, the life and martyrdom of the family of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) of Islam. Her work probes into the religious processions and rituals that take place annually in remembrance of this historical event. Utilizing diverse art mediums, she investigates the narrative, interpretations, and symbolism associated with Shi'ism, a sect deeply linked to the historic event of Karbala. The work also delves into the devotion and ideas that drive the believers, the Shias, exploring how symbolic associations impact the modern generation and ways of life.
In bridging the gap between the past and the contemporary, Farwa's work underscores the significance of reconnecting art and religion. Her artworks not only serve as references to history, but they actively question religious concepts, bringing these two words, art and religion, to the forefront. Farwa's pieces have been exhibited in galleries across Pakistan and the UK. Currently residing and working in Leeds, UK, Farwa contributes significantly to the intersection of art and faith.
