UNDER THE MASK – exhibition

UNDER THE MASK is an online photography exhibition that tells the story of individuals’ lives in Wuhan City during the pandemic era from early 2020 to 2023.

It is curated by Xianghai Zeng, an MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies student at the University of Leeds.

The exhibition is designed to explore how this pandemic reshaped people’s lives and the legacy left behind in Wuhan, which used to be the centre of this worldwide crisis. It leads the visitors back to that particular period and re-examines its impact from the individual’s perspective.
