On the 12th February, CLSR and the University of Leeds Philosophy Society hosted their annual Philosophy Valentines event, entitled ‘Love: Complexities of Connection’
What does it mean to love and be loved? How do different forms of love shape our lives, relationships and sense of self?
In honour of Valentine’s Day, PhilSoc and the Centre for Love, Sex, and Relationships (CLSR) is proud to host this thought-provoking event delving into the philosophy of love. Through five compelling talks, we will explore love’s multifaceted nature, from its most profound joys to its most challenging aspects.
With talks from Professor Gerald Lang, Dr Colette Olive, Ruby Hornsby, and Isobel Logan, there will be plenty to talk about! Topics include:
- Love-bombing and breadcrumbing
- Robots and AI
- How loving art helps us love others
- Sexual prejudice
