- Date: Wednesday 24 February 2021, 17:00 – 18:00
- Location: Off-campus
- Cost: Free - registration required
A free workshop aimed at enabling more inclusive academic environments for Black and ethnic minority students and researchers.
Continuing on from the Black Lives Matter movement, this event aims to continue the discussion, as the need to develop an understanding of what anti-racism means has become clear and is needed now more than ever including in academic spaces.
But where to start?
Being clear on what terms like anti-racist and anti-racism mean is as good a place to begin. It’s through self-education and awareness that we can all play a part in calling out racial injustice and have a more inclusive society.
The event will be designed to foster a safe and supportive environment to enable these vital conversations to take place in a private forum. This free workshop is geared toward the graduate researcher supervisor and would discuss how to better enable more inclusive academic environments for Black and ethnic minority students and young researchers.
