Dinah Wharton

Profile

Dinah Wharton provides continuing professional development for companies and individuals through a series of short courses. These cover all aspects of the textile and related industries, including manufacturing, sourcing, retailing, buying, merchandising and administration. The wide range of training courses run for between one and five days and are repeated throughout the academic year. In- company training is also offered.

Dinah is also the Placement Coordinator for DESN8004, the Year in Industry Module for the School. The School of Design's work placement/year in industry scheme is well-established and aims to provide undergraduate students from all programmes an opportunity to gain working and learning experience away from the campus. Students are encouraged to take placements which will give them valuable experience for their working life and enhance their transferable and professional skills. 

Dinah also administers the Nonwovens Network which has 230 members from industry, and is involved in conference and seminar organisation for the Nonwovens Network and within the School
