Dr. Sahar Arshi

Profile

I got a B.Sc in Computer Software Engineering at the University of Doctor Shariaty Tehran in 2006.  I earned my M.Sc. degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Science and Research Branch of Azad University of Tehran in 2010. At the time my research focused on Computer Music and Musical Acoustics. I got my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Hull in 2018 where I used to work on creating Persian like music by the application of computational intelligence tools.

I worked as a KTP Associate between the University of Northumbria and Smyth’s Toys in 2018-2019. I became a Research fellow at the University of Leeds in September 2019. Since then, I had been developing new methodologies and technologies for the digital communication of fabric tactile and aesthetic properties in textile supply chain. I had also been working on data-driven systems to determine how subjective touch feel of fabrics will be communicated with fabric objective properties of specific group of users.

Research interests

My research interests includes Machine Learning and Deep Learning technologies,  Computational Creativity, Digital Signal Processing, and Artificial Intelligence.
