Profile

My PhD project focuses on developing innovative yarn structures to stop crack propagation in fibre-reinforced composites.

Before joining the University of Leeds, I completed my BSc in Textile Engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) in Mexico City. As part of my degree, I also spent a semester studying at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia – Technology and Textile Design in Spain. Following my studies, I worked as a quality inspector at Intertek (Mexico), where my responsibilities included conducting quality inspections at textile factories and ensuring that products met labelling requirements for import.
