The Clothworkers’ Company announces 14 scholarships for the School of Design

Over the next three years, 14 scholarships will be awarded each year across Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT) level, beginning from the 2023/24 academic year.

The scholarships are supported by the Clothworkers’ Company for following programmes of study on Affordability and Academic Achievement routes.

The Affordability scholarships will be worth £5,914 at PGT level and £3,000 per year for 3 years at UG level, with an additional £2,000 towards a laptop for UG students. The Affordability scholarship applications will open in spring 2023, please see the individual course pages for further information.

The student from the affordability scholarships will become part of the Plus Programme, which is a support scheme for UK-fee paying Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students who come from backgrounds that are less represented at university. The aim is to ensure that students have access to all the opportunities at Leeds and to help in their transition, success, and progression.

The Academic Achievement route will consider all UK fee paying students who apply to the programmes, with decisions based on academic credentials with details and deadlines on the respective course pages. The Academic Achievement scholarships will be worth £4,000 at PGT level and £2,000 a year at UG level for three years.

The announcement for the UG and PGT Academic Achievement Scholarships will be made on 15 March 2023 and 31 July 2023, respectively.
