Artists from around the globe imaginatively engage with the question, “What is a space of a line?”, in the context of the picture postcard.
The exhibition considers two well-known idioms: “drop me a line” and “answers on a postcard”, alongside the notion that a line is a mark that spans its distance between two points taking any form along its way.
Curated by Eirini Boukla, artist and lecturer on BA Art and Design.
Boukla makes use of a variety of mediums, that often merge, to explore the possibilities of contemporary drawing practice and ideas of authenticity and originality. Her research interests are built around the practice of tracing and notions of reuse, reassemble, recombine.
