Colour4CRAFTS: Colour for Tomorrow Exhibition

Colour4CRAFTS” reflects the diverse approaches to research and experimentation within an educational and collaborative environment.

The exhibition invites audiences to discover the beauty and sustainability of natural dyes while envisioning a future where traditional knowledge and advanced technologies unite to transform the textile and fashion industries.

Visitors will see groundbreaking scientific research from the project’s individual teams and their collaborative endeavours, such as our beautifully prepared guidebook on the scope and opportunities around natural dyes for educationalists and enthusiasts alike. There will be samples of work from industry, videos of work in progress, displays of student work using natural dyes, plus a showcase of the finalists of the International Student Textile Design Competition through a partnership between the Colour4CRAFTS project & the Sustainability Special Interest Group of The Textile Institute. These works demonstrate the vibrant colour range and versatility of natural dyes, whether applied to jacquard weaving, fashion design, or experimental techniques in laboratory settings.
