Scholarships

There are many ways to fund your postgraduate studies. Students often seek funding from a variety of sources including university scholarships, loans, sponsors or external funding bodies. Find out more about the different types of funding available.

Before you apply for any funding, you'll need to have applied to your chosen course. You can apply for more than one funding opportunity, but may have to choose which ones to accept if your applications are successful.

External competitions and funding	External funding for UK/EU and international Masters students is available from a number of external organisations and funding bodies.
Head of School Masters Excellence Scholarships	Five academic excellence scholarships of £10,000 available to UK and international students.
Leeds Alumni Bursary	Graduates of the University of Leeds are entitled to a 10% bursary on tuition fees.
Sports scholarships	Our prestigious Scholarship Programmes support elite athletes and coaches as they combine academic and sporting excellence during their time at the University of Leeds.

Academic Achievement Masters Scholarships (Clothworkers)	All UK fee paying students who apply to MSc Textile Sustainability and Innovation are considered for a Clothworkers’ Academic Achievement Scholarship.
Leeds Masters Scholarships	Leeds Masters Scholarships aim to encourage UK fee-paying students from under-represented groups to study a postgraduate qualification.
Leeds Masters Scholarships (Clothworkers)	Five scholarships available for MSc Textile Sustainability and Innovation to encourage UK students from underrepresented groups
Postgraduate loan	The UK government offers a Postgraduate Masters Loan to UK nationals.
Sanctuary scholarships	The University of Leeds is pleased to offer scholarships for forced migrants to the UK. The Sanctuary Scholarship is open to people who wish to study any undergraduate, postgraduate or research degree.
