Dr Giuseppe Tronci appointed Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM)

The prestigious fellowship from the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) recognises those who have made significant contributions in the materials, minerals or mining fields.

Dr Giuseppe Tronci is Associate Professor in Healthcare Materials in the School of Design, and holds a joint appointment with the School of Dentistry. His research and innovation activities are developed within the Clothworkers’ Centre for Textile Materials Innovation for Healthcare (CCTMIH), and focus on the design, manufacture and clinical translation of high-value biopolymer-based materials for specific and unmet clinical needs. He is also academic founder of HYFACOL Limited, a University of Leeds spin out company developing a novel collagen platform for wound dressings and dentistry applications.
