Olivia Miller wins Sustainability Award

We are thrilled to announce that BA (Hons) Art and Design graduate Olivia Miller has won a Sustainability Award 2017.

Olivia won Most of Resources award for working alongside the Cleaning Services team to produce a cross-institution reuse art piece. The work will go on display next week as part of Alchemy degree show 2017.  This final year project required hundreds of toilet rolls which have been collected by the cleaners across campus. The work has been mentioned in two of the School of Design’s modules (Green Design and Eco Design & Global Ecology) as examples of small scale recycling and reuse systems.

Many students within the School have since drawn upon the core concept of this project and plan to use it within their own work.
