Design students host Chinese Culture event
On Monday 23rd April, postgraduate students in the School of Design organised an event to promote collaboration across the various subject areas within the School, as well as the wider Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures.
“In the mood for Love” was a Chinese Culture event, run in association with the Leeds University Union and set up by students from a number of our masters programmes. The evening was a great success and an immersive cultural experience, providing an insight into Chinese fashion and culture through a wide range of activities such as making Chinese frog buttons and a chance to try on Qinpao clothing. Chinese drinks and snacks were provided to enhance the cultural experience, and the evening concluded with a showing of famous Qipao movie “In the Mood for Love.”
