Submissions open for Creative Access and ITV Mentoring Programme
ITV has partnered with Creative Access to offer entry-level individuals the opportunity to be mentored by an experienced professional within the television industry.
ITV and Creative Access are looking for candidates that are passionate about a career in television and looking to make those crucial first steps.
The carefully selected mentors from across all ITV teams and departments intend to reach out to creatives from under-represented communities who want to learn more about, or launch their path into, their first or next job in television, providing invaluable advice. Where possible, successful candidates will be matched with someone working in the area in which they aspire to or currently work in.
This programme aims to break down barriers and myths and showcase the rich mix of roles and opportunities on offer. Its focus is on giving the mentees the chance to gain insights and expertise, develop skills and confidence, and build new connections and networks.
Starting with a virtual Meet and Greet in October, the mentoring programme will run for six months. Mentees will meet with their mentor once a month for approximately an hour.
This opportunity is only open to individuals from under-represented backgrounds in the creative industries. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Asian and ethnically diverse candidates, people with disabilities and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
Applications must be submitted by 1 September through the Creative Access website.
