International Textiles archive joins University of Leeds Special Collections
From August 2019 ULITA – an Archive of International Textiles, currently part of the School of Design, will integrate with University of Leeds Special Collections and Galleries.
The transfer will enable the collection to reach a wider audience through sustainable learning and engagement programmes.
St Wilfred’s Chapel will continue to house ULITA’s collection until its transferal to the Library Estate. Research visits to use the collections are operating by appointment as usual. The exhibition area in the chapel is now closed to general visitors.
A textile exhibition curated from ULITA’s collection will go on display at Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery in September 2019, accompanied by an events programme. Join Leeds University Library Galleries mailing list to keep up to date with our latest news.
