Profile

I lead on and support various projects in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures to enhance equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging.

I studied BA Geography at the University of Leeds (2017–2021). During this time I completed my year in industry working as an Equality and Inclusion Project Assistant with the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences (2019–2020).

I founded the Leeds University Commuters’ Society for students who live at home and travel to University (2018–2021). In 2021, I completed my undergraduate dissertation titled “Uncovering the Barriers to Social Engagement and Developing a Sense of Belonging for Commuter Students at the University of Leeds”. I actively campaign for better inclusion for commuter students at the University. In May 2024, I was awarded a Green Plaque for my work in coordinating the implementation of a common lounge for commuter students and for inclusion of commuter students. I was also awarded a Leeds University Union Riley Award for the Best Campaign in 2021.
