Leeds researchers create sustainable hair dye from blackcurrants
The hair dye uses blackcurrant wastage from Ribena.
Dr Richard Blackburn, Associate Professor in the School of Design, and Professor Chris Rayner from the School of Chemistry conducted research to create a new, effective, natural hair dye technology.
The dye uses blackcurrant waste from Ribena, making it a more sustainable alternative to regular hair dyes found on the market.
We are delighted that the School of Design has played a key role in this research. Many congratulations to Dr Blackburn.
