Over five days, you'll refine design concepts, develop technical sketches and illustrations, and use industry-standard software and machinery to produce a professional portfolio. Your Completed Portfolio Will Include:

  • X1 A3 mood/concept board.
  • X1 A3 fabric board.
  • X1 A3 colour pallet.
  • X1 A3 brand board.
  • X1 A3 customer profile board.
  • A3 Knitwear swatches and digital print/laser cutting swatches presented professionally.
  • A3 6 - 8 outfits, flat sketched and 4 outfits illustrated and presented professionally.

What Will You Learn?

  • Learn how to produce an advanced fashion portfolio and access the facilities to create this.
  • Demonstrate a practical understanding of developing fashion concepts and articulate and apply trend forecasting skills.
  • Define and apply advanced technical terminologies specific to fashion design.
  • Master a range of hand-drawn and digital illustration techniques.
  • Utilise CAD software to aid in designing and developing a finished portfolio.
  • Work with industrial knitwear, digital print, and laser-cutting machinery.
  • Understand the role of fabric, colour and texture in fashion design.
  • Understand garment construction methods, including cut and sew, fully fashioned, and woven garments.
