Join us for an evening discussing relationships, the history of monogamy, and break-ups in the company of two exciting thinkers Kate Lister and Pilar Lopez-Cantero.

This is the third in our series of four evenings exploring aspects of romantic life. From dating and attraction, love and relationships, through to the role of technology in our sex lives, we will be asking challenging questions about the nature of modern intimacy and seeing what contemporary philosophy can contribute.

Each evening tackles a particular theme, with two short talks from our guest speakers to get us thinking followed by an open discussion with audience questions, chaired by one of the team from the University of Leeds.

The events will be friendly and informal. No prior knowledge is required, and anyone can attend.

Open doors from 5.30pm, with the event starting at 6pm. You are welcome to buy and enjoy a drink during the evening, but we encourage you to do before the first talks or during the break.
