More than a Launch: Routledge Companion to Audiences and the Performing Arts

We invite researchers and practitioners to ‘More than a Launch’ of the recently published Routledge Companion to Audiences and the Performing Arts.

Published in 2022, the Companion brings together 60 authors across 46 chapters to create a truly multi-dimensional exploration of the inter-relationships between audiences and the performing arts.

The event will bring together authors from the Companion along with emerging audience researchers and invited respondents. It seeks to critically and creatively reflect upon where audience research is, where it is going and where it needs to be. The event will include short presentations from Companion authors followed by responses from invited panelists and participants, including UK-based writer and dramaturg Maddy Costa.

The event is open to anybody interested in audiences and the performing arts.

Are you a postgraduate researcher or recently graduated postgraduate researcher?

The editors have invited a response from postgraduate researchers working in audience studies, with the aim of critically and creatively reflecting upon where audience research is, where it is going and where it needs to be in the future.
