Curating and Exhibiting Visual Culture in Times of Coronavirus: Online Workshop

Sadler Seminar exploring the online curation of film and art during the pandemic in the UK and Brazil

In the fourth event in our Sadler Seminar Series Curating and Exhibiting Visual Art in Times of Coronavirus, we explore examples of online practice of film and art curation during the pandemic in both the UK and Brazil, as well as reflect on new and old challenges as we move forward. The event includes a keynote by Dr Alessandra Mello Simões Paiva (Federal University of Southern Bahia), pre-recorded video interventions by four practitioners which will be uploaded to our YouTube channel in advance, and the chance to discuss the videos with the practitioners.

The practitioners include Andy Abbott (artist), Sebastián Gerlic (Thydewá), Professor Sarah Perks (MIMA School of Art & Design), Barbara Alves Rangel (Instituto Moreira Salles)

The Series Conveners are Stephanie Dennison (Languages, Cultures and Societies), Thea Pitman (Languages, Cultures and Societies), Simon Popple (Media and Communication) and Gill Park (Fine Art).

The event will take place on Zoom and is free to attend.
