Centre for World Cinemas and Digital Cultures

The subject area of Film Studies is delivered by a team of staff based within the Centre for World Cinemas and Digital Cultures (the CWCDC).
Our team researches a wide variety of cultural forms and practices, from film, videoessays and digital artworks to film production, curation and reception. Taking a polycentric approach to global cinema, our work encompasses a wide range of contexts around the world, and uses a variety of theoretical, methodological and practice-based approaches.
We teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in film studies and a range of modules in digital cultures.
