Leeds IMS Historian discusses an early English Abbess on BBC's Woman's Hour

BBC 4 Woman's Hour invited Florence Scott to discuss the medieval English Abbess Æthelgifu.

The medieval English Abbess Æthelgifu was mentioned in Parliament just before Christmas prompting discussion about who this apparently influential saint really was.

BBC 4’s Woman’s Hour invited Florence Scott, who is studying for her PhD here at Leeds, to set the story straight about the Æthelgifu referred to by the Leader of the House of Commons as “one of England’s leading saints”.

Florence also runs a blog titled Ælfgif-who? which aims to educate readers and listeners on the subject of influential early English women.
