Working in partnership

The Institute for Medieval Studies has well established partnerships with many organisations, which are an important part of both our research and teaching.

We work closely with the Royal Armouries Museum and Leeds City Museum (both based within walking distance of campus), and the Wellcome Trust.

We have an ERASMUS+ partnership with the University of Poitiers in France, which is home to the internationally renowned Centre d'Études Supérieures de Civilisation Médiévale (CESCM). Through this partnership we are able to benefit from collaboration on research projects, as well as exchange opportunities for staff, allowing them to gain international teaching and research experience. We also offer our postgraduate students the chance to spend time studying in Poitiers.

Many of our students are involved in delivering activities for schools and colleges, either on campus or on location.
