Working in partnership
The Institute for Medieval Studies has well established partnerships with many organisations, which are an important part of both our research and teaching.
We have worked closely with the Royal Armouries Museum ever since the museum’s establishment in Leeds in 1996. The partnership between the School of History and the Royal Armouries offers our students an exceptional point of access into the martial material culture of medieval Eurasia and beyond through workshops and hands-on experience with the collections. The partnership also facilitates research activity at both institutions and provides the foundation for collaborative work.
