Profile

I joined the School of Media and Communication as a PhD researcher in 2018, and my supervisors are Dr Kate Nash and Dr Helen Thornham. My project is on newsgame which is at the intersection of video games and journalism.

I received my MA (with distinction) in Communication and New Media from City University of Hong Kong and my BA in Communication from Renmin University of China.

Research interests

• journalism studies, particularly the differences of journalism among different regions
• the emotions of journalism
• science and technology studies
• video games, particularly the use of video game format in other industries
• the history of play and games
