Success at the Royal Television Society Yorkshire Student Awards 2020

Nine nominations in as many categories and four wins for University of Leeds students.

The RTS student awards annually recognise emerging talent in Yorkshire. This year, seven projects produced by students at Leeds were nominated.

I was absolutely blown away to win the RTS award, which now has pride of place in my apartment. My tutor and dissertation mentor, Ian Bucknell nominated me and his knowledge and support throughout my course was crucial to my success. A truly amazing end to my University of Leeds journey.

COCOABEAN is a visual-poetic narrative that celebrates unity amidst difference within our contemporary, multi-cultural society. It was an incredible feeling knowing that our poetic expression, encompassing the beauty of our diverse friendship circles, generated such a reception!
