Visiting Artist's Talk - Simeon Barclay

Simeon Barclay is an artist based in Leeds. His practice draws upon a diverse mix of references to consider the distinct ways in which we both inhabit and perform subjectivity.

He was the recipient of the Associate Artist Award for the Liverpool Biennial 2016 and his solo exhibitions include: Cubitt (London, 2016),  STCTHOTS (Leeds, 2015) and Dam Projects (London, 2015).

Group exhibitions include: Liverpool Biennial, Outpost (Norwich), Open Source Art Festival (London) and The Royal Standard (Liverpool) in 2016; and W139 (Amsterdam), The Tetley (Leeds) and  Meyohas (New York) in 2015. He completed his BA in Fine Art at Leeds Metropolitan University (2007) and a MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College (2012).
