Where Connection Moves Us

Featuring work by second year fine art students Claire MacInnes and Freya Rose, 'Where Connection Moves Us' explores how people find one another through shared experience.

Claire’s work focuses on Where the Music Moves Us, a series of paintings tracing the emotional and physical ways music transpires and shapes connection.

The works capture moments where rhythm becomes visible, how dance becomes a language and how pre digital forms of connection continue to resonate today. The project reflects on intimacy, lineage, and the cultural stories embedded in movement, inviting viewers to step into these environments and witness the beauty of a stranger’s experience with music and dance.

Freya’s work highlights the community found in our evolving surrounding. With a contemporary take on visuals that reflect historic imagery – capturing a specific time and place, combining traditional methods of analogue photography with modern graphics.

This project analyses the connection and communication street art brings to an individual’s surroundings
