Jacob Whiting is a freelance filmmaker based in Leeds. His work spans music videos, live sessions, poetry films and more. Mycelium is his first narrative short film, which was created on a micro budget with a crew of two.
In Mycelium (dir. Jacob Whiting, 2025), a researcher's interest in the forest and its underground communication takes him deep into the unknown, but the trees may not be as open as he hopes.
This event is organised by the Environmental Humanities Research Group, Visual Cultures of Ecology, based in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies.
It is free to attend and all are welcome.
