We are a collection of Level 2 Fine Art students, exploring themes of grief and attachment through a variety of media: sculpture, painting, textiles and digital.
We have come together as a result of our individual experiences of grief, but a shared resonance to materialise it.
We create deeply personal artworks, whilst exploring the material best suited for the specific piece. Hence, our range of processes, styles and mediums. We all make work informed by our grief, and are at different stages in our personal bereavement journeys.
Despite this, we hope to materialise the complexities of our independent grief and retell our personal stories, whilst opening up the conversation about its universal affects and inevitability for all of us. We found comfort for our experiences of bereavement through collaboration and communication.
Together, we want our exhibition to participate in discussions about the discouraged topic of loss, and the fragility of life.
