Interwoven Beings

This exhibition showcases work by a group of level 2 fine art students from the University of Leeds.

Interwoven Beings aims to explore the tension between cultural-socio upbringing, authenticity and the fluidity of identity and the way we choose to present these.

Alongside mixed media, paintings, drawings and sculpture, the exhibition showcases cultural heritage as well as personal experience and the way these shape self-presentation through a series of woven works.

The harmonious intertwining of identity can be interpreted physically and metaphorically in terms of the self, and it is this entanglement that we wish to represent in our work.
