Rooted: Exploring the Natural

Rooted: Exploring the Natural is one of a number of student exhibitions taking place on campus and across Leeds this month, as part of our Fine Art Level 2 Festival of Art 2025.

This exhibition explores the memories and feelings rooted in humanity’s relationship to nature. Human roots and nature's roots.

With this as our umbrella theme, threads of nostalgia, escapism, community, and natural forms are seen in our works.

We hope to ignite an internal connection between the viewer and the artworks through encouraging them to look closer at these natural forms, shapes, and roots that we tend to overlook in everyday life.

We invite our viewers to experience the works alongside nature, encouraging them to notice the work, other people, or oneself feeling rooted in nature, while simultaneously experiencing a depiction of those roots.

The exhibition is by invitation only and will take place in a private garden. The artists will document their work and will present it at a later date as a magazine.
