2026 COIL Showcase: Preparing our students for a changing world with transformative globally engaged learning
- Date: Monday 8 June 2026, 10:00 – 15:30
- Location: University of Leeds
- Cost: Free - open to UoL staff only
With COILs now being run or developed in every Faculty and most Schools across the University, we've seen exciting progress in the scaling up of COIL provision across the University.
This year's COIL Showcase (in-person only) will provide an update on the progress of COIL at Leeds, the support available for colleagues considering incorporating COIL into their teaching, talks from colleagues already COIL-ing or currently designing COILs, networking opportunities, and a chance to hear from students who have experienced COIL at Leeds.
Collaborative online international learning (COIL) is a pedagogic methodology used globally to provide students with inclusive globally engaged collaborative learning opportunities. At Leeds work has been underway since 2023 to scale up COIL provision across all Faculties. Exciting and transformative for both students and colleagues, COIL is versatile and can be applied in any discipline. For more on COIL visit the COIL Sharepoint.
