Dr Judith Simpson

Profile

I have a BA in Archaeology and Theology from the University of Leeds and an MA in Cultural Studies from the University of Huddersfield.  These studies shaped my interest in the way in which material culture reflects and communicates our understandings of the world.  My PhD, which was completed in 2018, looked at the significance of clothing in contemporary British death practice.

I have worked at the University of Leeds since 2007, first as a School Education Service Manager and more recently as a lecturer.  While working at Leeds I have completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership from Nottingham Trent University.
