Ken Feinstein

Profile

I am a media artist, award winning filmmaker, theorist, curator and academic. I have over 25 years’ experience teaching in universities in Southeast Asia and North America. I have taught design, interaction, film, gaming and as well as media theory and history. My work focuses on issues regarding our ethical relationship to Otherness and how technology plays a role in it. My work investigates how the physicality of a spatial design can help to enhance the relationship of the viewer to the work making it more intimate and personal. As the presence of media becomes more ubiquitous, we need to understand how we are transformed by this, what is the obligation found in being present with and bearing witness to the other and the ethical call found in it.
