Profile
I am a second-year PhD researcher in the School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds. Before starting my doctoral studies, I completed an MA in Media and Communication at Leeds and earned my undergraduate degree in Media and Cultural Studies from Lancaster University. I also bring professional experience from roles within a news agency and a television station.

Research interests
My research explores the representation of motherhood in Chinese family dramas, focusing on how the Chinese second and third-child policies are included and potentially propagated through popular media. I am especially interested in how such narratives may influence women’s perceptions and decisions around motherhood in contemporary China.
