The Impact of Covid-19 on Key Learning and Education (ICKLE)

Value

£154,000

Description

The ICKLE project tracks the impact of the disruption to schooling during the Covid-19 lockdown. It focuses on children’s progress in key foundation skills from reception to year 1, and analyses how factors related to school, home, and children themselves may affect this development.

Impact

We are working with a wide range of beneficiaries and stakeholders to apply the research findings into practice, for example the Department for Education, Leeds City Council, Social Mobility Commission, and the All Party Parliamentary Group for Childcare and Early Education.
