BA Newton Advanced fellowships open for applications
BA Newton Advanced fellowships open for applications
The British Academy has announced the latest round of Newton Advanced fellowships to support links with Thailand, China, Mexico, South Africa, and Turkey.
The fellowships provide early to mid-career international researchers who already have a track record with an opportunity to develop their research strengths and capabilities, and those of their group or network, through training, collaboration and visits with a partner in the UK.
The award enables international researchers based in a country covered by the Newton Fund to establish and develop collaborations with the UK with the intention of transferring knowledge and research capabilities. The skills and knowledge gained should contribute to advancing economic development and social welfare of the partner country.
It is a useful way to build capacity around existing projects. Up to £37,000 is available each year for a maximum of 2 years. This includes: salary top-up; research support; travel and subsistence; training costs.
For full details of the scheme please refer to the BA website.
If you want to apply for this scheme then please contact the Faculty pre-award support team at your earliest opportunity.
