The LHRI is pleased to welcome Prof. Myra Strober, a leading expert on interdisciplinarity, to give a lecture on "Overcoming Barriers to Interdisciplinary Work".
Prof. Strober, a labour economist at Stanford University, recently published Interdisciplinary Conversations: Challenging Habits of Thought (Stanford University Press: 2010). The book is an important study of the hidden dynamics of interdisciplinary research, and the barriers which can impede that research: disciplinary habits of mind, disciplinary cultures, and interpersonal relationships.
The lecture will take place in the LHRI (29-31 Clarendon Place) on 13 October at 5 pm. For further information, please contact Matthew Treherne (firstname.lastname@example.org).
