Mehri Language Course

This five-day course is the second language workshop to be held on the endangered Semitic language, Mehri.

Mehri is spoken in southern Oman, Yemen and parts of Saudi Arabia. The course will cover an introduction to the region in which it is spoken, and provide you with the basic features of the language, including phonological structure, word structure and clause structure. The course will include written and audio-visual materials. It will be run by Professor Janet C.E. Watson and Ali al-Mahri, a native speaker of Mehri and the sister language ??er?t.
