A newly discovered Victorian setting of Byron has its concert premiere
Watch the stunning performance of "Manfred" at the 2016 Ilkley Literature Festival.
Dr Fiona Smith (Music) was both lecturer and performer at the first public performance of a forgotten Victorian musical score that she discovered in Brotherton Special Collections during her period as LHRI/Brotherton Fellow.
The score, by the composer E. J. Loder, is a setting of Lord Byron's famous poem "Manfred," and was never performed in Loder's lifetime.
The performance took place as part of the 2016 Ilkley Literature Festival.
