Queer Theory Reading Group

The group is designed to bring together postgraduate students from across the three White Rose Universities (York, Sheffield and Leeds) to discuss the current status of Queer Theory in literature.
In the inaugural meeting we will discuss an extract from 'Walden' by Henry David Thoreau and Peter Coviello’s recent article in GLQ, ‘The Wild Not Less Than the Good: Thoreau, Sex, Biopower’.
Our aim is to promote a Queer theoretical engagement with text and to encourage cross-institutional collaboration.
