Profile
I am a lecturer in English for Academic Purposes at the Language Centre, School of Languages, Cultures and Societies at the University of Leeds. Prior to working at Leeds, I worked at Leeds Trinity University as a student achievement adviser. I have been teaching and supporting students to develop their academic skills for years.

Research interests
My PhD thesis on the factors influencing examiners’ rating decisions in a high-stake English proficiency speaking test received the best poster prize in the UK’s Language Testing Forum in 2018, the best student paper prize in the annual conference of Asian Association of Language Assessment in 2019, and the British Council’s Assessment Research Award in 2019. My scholarship interests focus on the intersection between language assessment literacy, teacher education and professional development and language policy.
