Professor Sally Shuttleworth presents the seventh annual British Academy lecture at the University of Leeds, part of the Ilkley Literature Festival.
Marking the 200th anniversary of Emily Brontë’s birth, Sally Shuttleworth discusses the brief life and work of the writer who gave us Wuthering Heights, her place in the literary canon, and the enduring legacy of the Brontë sisters.
Sally Shuttleworth is Professor of English Literature at the University of Oxford and Professorial Fellow, St Anne's College, Oxford, specialising in Victorian literature. She is also a Fellow of the British Academy.
