Before joining the University of Leeds in 2021, I have taught in four different universities in Australia and Indonesia since 2005 including the University of Canberra, Binus University, Multimedia Nusantara University, and Tarumanagara University. As a lecturer, I have module management experience as a full subject coordinator, curriculum developer for the undergraduate program (Bachelor of Design) and postgraduate program (Master of Design).
I obtained my PhD from Monash University Australia, funded by Monash International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (MIPRS) and Monash Graduate Scholarship (MGS). I also hold a Master of Design (major in Graphic Design) from Raffles College of Design and Commerce Australia, and a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design (Honours) from Tarumanagara University.
Alongside my academic responsibilities, I have also performed various managerial roles, particularly in the area of international activities and collaboration. During my employment at the University of Canberra, I took a role as an International Design Program Director representing the Faculty of Arts and Design, a Fashion Course Convener, a Graphic Design Exhibition Coordinator, and a Unit Convener for the Graphic Design department. Similarly, I took a role as a Global Collaboration Coordinator for the Faculty of Arts and Design at the Multimedia Nusantara University.
I am an Editorial Manager for Information Design Journal (IDJ), a peer-reviewed international journal published by John Benjamins Publishing Company. I am also a regular reviewer for Ultimart academic journal and IMDES (International Conference of Innovation in Media and Visual Design) conference papers, both published and hosted by Faculty of Arts and Design Multimedia Nusantara University, in collaboration with Atlantis Press.

My main areas of research are within the graphic, communication, digital design and semiotics. I am particularly interested in creative digital technology applications and their meanings, how those factors influence and affect human interactions, identities, and cognitive aspects. I have always interested in investigating how creative digital design solutions are applied to online interactive communications, services, installations, devices and mobile applications for commercial, non-commercial, social and community benefits.
Research projects

Any research projects I'm currently working on will be listed below.
