Profile
I have taught at Leeds since 2007, first as a Teaching Assistant and then from 2013, as a part-time Teaching Fellow 2013. Alongside my role at Leeds, I am completing a PhD on the significance of stories in ethics education at the Institute of Education, University College London.
I am also the Managing Director of Thinking Space a not-for-profit education company, work that feeds into my teaching and research.

Philosophy of Education, including issues arising from the curriculum, pedagogy and assessment of philosophy (particularly ethics)
Normative Ethics, in particular Neo Aristotelian accounts of virtue
Ethics Education, in particular Virtue Theoretic accounts of ethics education
Applied Ethics, including ethics of teaching and learning
Aesthetics, in particular theories of narrative in relation to ethics and education
Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Action and Moral Psychology, specifically in relation to ethics education
Community Philosophy / Public Philosophy / Philosophy in Education, specifically the ethical, epistemological and political questions raised by this kind of work

Student education
Besides my main teaching in the Philosophy of Education at Level One, I have also taught Logic, Mind, Ethics and the History of Philosophy. At Levels Two and Three, I have taught Normative Ethics, Aesthetics, Environmental Philosophy, Feminist Philosophy and Applied Ethics of Medicine, Dentistry, Business, Biosciences, Engineering, Sport, Drama, Translation and Computing. I have also supervised final year projects on philosophy of education in relation to ethics and aesthetics.
