Research interests

I am interested in mediations of sustainability politics and cultures, particularly in relation to household sustainabilities, and their intersections with class, gender, and ethnicity. My doctoral research explored the interrelationships between social class, gender and everyday sustainable lifestyle and food practices within UK households, and the ways in which modes of pro-environmental communication informs diverse publics. I am also interested in research methodologies, particularly qualitative and ethnographic approaches to media and communication, and to pedagogic research.
