I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I joined the School of Media and Communication as a Research Associate and Academic Tutor in 2015, and have since contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning within the school. I was appointed as Teaching Fellow in Media and Communication in 2018, and am the Assessment Lead for the School, and from 2019 I will also act as Academic Integrity Lead. I obtained my PhD from the University of Leeds in 2013, before undertaking postdoctoral research posts at the Universities of York (2013), Sheffield (2013-14) and Leeds (2014-15; 2016-17). Since 2017, I have focused on the student experience through teaching-centered roles, as module leader, dissertation supervisor, personal tutor and pedagogic research. I was shortlisted for an LUU Faculty Partnership Equality and Inclusion Award in 2017.

I am interested in mediations of sustainability politics and cultures, particularly in relation to household sustainabilities, and their intersections with class, gender, and ethnicity. My doctoral research explored the interrelationships between social class, gender and everyday sustainable lifestyle and food practices within UK households, and the ways in which modes of pro-environmental communication informs diverse publics. I am also interested in research methodologies, particularly qualitative and ethnographic approaches to media and communication, and to pedagogic research.
Any research projects I'm currently working on will be listed below. Our list of all research projects allows you to view and search the full list of projects in the faculty.
