Profile
I hold a PhD from the School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds. My research interests focus on digital and social medial, digital activism, social movements, civil society and media and democratisation in CEE. I am interested in the nature and possibilities of civil society mobilisation in the post-socialist context and the place of digital and social media in developing alternative political projects and in changing or influencing dominant discourses.
I currently teach or am a TA on a number of courses at the School of Media and Communication. I am also a Research Assistant on the Communicating the Pandemic research project, led by Professor Stephen Coleman at the School. I am a member of the Political Communication and Journalism Research Group and the Centre for Democratic Engagement at University of Leeds. I hold a double BA in International Communication Studies and Film and Media Studies from the American University of Paris and an MA in Anthropology and Development and Rights from Goldsmiths College, London.
