Honorary Doctorate for Rev. Christopher Senyonjo

The University of Leeds is awarding an honorary degree to Rev. Christopher Senyonjo.

The School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures at the University of Leeds is delighted to announce that Rev. Christopher Senyonjo will be conferred the title of Honorary Doctor of Philosophy during the School’s graduation ceremony on 17 July 2018. Senyonjo receives this degree as a recognition of his outstanding contribution as a clergyman and campaigner for LGBT rights in Uganda.

To mark and celebrate the occasion of Senyonjo’s honorary doctorate, the School’s Centre for Religion and Public Life, in collaboration with the Leeds University Centre for African Studies, will host a symposium, details of which can be found here.
